Rowhedge Wharf by Bloor Homes - Show Home Room by Room

Posted 9 November 2016 by Ben Salisbury

Bloor Homes have recently unveiled a stunning new show home at Rowhedge Wharf on the banks of the River Colne, near Colchester in Essex

The Show Home has opened at Bloor Homes’ Rowhedge Wharf development, set on the banks of the River Colne. Home hunters can take a look around the three-bedroom Staunton house type.

Located in a stunning waterfront setting at the edge of Rowhedge, the development consists of 170 new homes comprising a selection of two, three and four-bedroom properties.

Rowhedge Wharf is in a unique location close to the historic town of Colchester, but surrounded by natural beauty and tranquillity and with an ever-changing view of the river, the collection of homes is accessed by a tree lined avenue from the pretty village of Rowhedge.

The development of two, three and four-bedroom homes has something for everyone, from apartments for first-time buyers through to spacious detached homes for growing families and downsizers looking for an exceptional quality of life.

Monika Hanlon, Regional Sales Director for Bloor Eastern, said: “It’s a great pleasure to be opening our show home at our Rowhedge development and to be welcoming visitors to this breathtaking location for the very first time.

“The Staunton is a beautiful family home, which epitomises the stylish modern design of our Rowhedge Wharf development and has been carefully designed to maximise living space and benefits from a spacious, open-planned kitchen/dining area.

“Interest in the development has been high and 15 of the properties have already been snapped up off-plan, so I would urge home hunters in the Essex area to come down to the show home launch and see for themselves what this superb development has to offer.”

The interior of the three-bedroom Staunton Show Home has been designed by Artspace Interiors to reflect the different elements of the river which the development overlooks.

Abbie Quirk, from Artspace Interiors, said: “The three-bedroom home has been designed with family living in mind and the theme is inspired by the changing tones of the river nearby. With a palette ranging from slate greys through to deep azures and soft blues, the scheme captures the essence of the waterfront setting Rowhedge Wharf benefits from.

Rowhedge Wharf Living areaLiving area: “A deep blue-grey sets the tone for the living area and is carried throughout the room using different textures and patterns – from the statement wallpaper which mimics the shifting tones of the river, through to the block colouring of the wooden television cabinet, to the soft furnishings which add warmth and comfort. A slight shimmer in the fabric of the sofa and the accessories means that light is bounced around the room and the atmosphere remains light and airy, even with a deep accent colour."

Rowhedge Wharf KitchenKitchen: “Glossy white units look striking against the warm grey walls in the kitchen and create a cosy space perfect for family living. The white granite worktop is both stylish and practical, while the glass and silver accessories add a touch of everyday glamour. A deep caramel colour is picked out in pinpointed objects around the room and contrasts beautifully with this shade of grey."

Rowdhedge Wharf master bedroomMaster Bedroom: “Upstairs we’ve incorporated more tones of blue in the bedrooms to create a relaxing, tranquil atmosphere. The master bedroom has a striking velvet headboard in a soft turquoise and a silk pale blue bedspread, both creating a feeling of opulence and luxury. Cut glass and gilt accessories have been used to bounce light around the room, including the ornate silver chandelier and silvery cushions piled welcomingly on the bed."

Rowhedge Wharf third bedroomThird Bedroom: “We had a lot of fun decorating the third bedroom in a nautical theme, to appeal to a child who loves living near the water. Shades of azure, crisp white and soft grey complement each other, while anchors throughout the room tie in well. Nautical accessories such as sails on the wall, a striped bedspread and soft whale toys on the bed extend the theme and make the room perfect for a child dreaming of embarking on their own seafaring adventure.”

Buyers at Rowhedge Wharf will also have the chance to choose their own additional fixtures and finishes through Bloor’s ‘Your Choice’ service. The first homes at Rowhedge Wharf were launched in April earlier this year and has already proved popular with buyers.

As part of the development, Bloor Homes will be investing over £400,000 in Rowhedge, including £60,000 on improvements to community facilities and £50,000 for the Rowhedge Nature Trail, which will improve the walking areas in the local area.

The show home will officially launch at 10am on Saturday 22 October, and interested parties can make an appointment by calling the sales team on 01206 809221.
