95% Sold At Ashford Apartment Site

Posted 21 January 2022 by Keith Osborne

There are only 11 apartments still for sale at the 216-home Victoria Point development near Ashford International station...

Strong demand from city dwellers for outside space has fuelled a surge in sales at a luxury apartment development in Ashford, Kent, which is just 36 minutes by train from London St Pancras.

Only 11 of the 216 apartments at Victoria Point remain to be sold with developers Elevate Property Group and joint venture partners Investin plc revealing that a decision to upscale the outside space during construction has paid dividends.

Elevate sales and marketing director David Hofton said the pandemic had made homebuyers much more sensitive to their surroundings and the south-facing communal gardens at Victoria Point were proving a major selling point.

“We have seen an exodus from London as many buyers decided that working from home meant they did not need to be within walking distance or a short daily commute from work.

“And the concierge service and ‘super lounge’ has made working from home at Victoria Point a comfortable and communal experience, with the option for homeowners to return to their apartments for private work calls as and when necessary.”

He said prices that were as much as 34% lower than the City, providing a London lifestyle without the cost.

Victoria Point“Before anyone had even heard of Covid-19, we had taken the conscious decision to deliver an exemplary scheme of 216 apartments, meticulously designed and luxuriously appointed.

“Victoria Point’s location, most apartments having balconies, the south-facing communal gardens and close proximity of the waterside walks along the River Stour and nearby Victoria Park have all contributed to the success of the scheme.”

Ashford is currently rated one of the top 50 UK places to live and is Kent’s number one business location.

Pete Cronin, sales negotiator in selling agents Savills’ Sevenoaks office, said the arrival of Ashford International station had been a catalyst for an economic surge in the town and surrounding area: “Victoria Point is less than 200 yards from the rail station which links both to London and the continent. Ashford is expected to double in size over the next 25 years and a plan for a new Commercial Quarter will become a catalyst for future economic growth.

“The town centre will also be revolutionized by Elwick Place, a six-screen boutique cinema with a hotel, restaurants and events spaces. Alongside this, there’s a £90million extension planned for the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet. These are all good reasons in themselves to move to Ashford, and Victoria Point is simply the icing on the cake.”

All 11 remaining apartments are ready to occupy, and virtual as well as physical viewings are available. They are all two-bedroom, two-bedroom apartments, and most have balconies and parking. Sizes range from 799 sq ft to 900 sq ft with prices from £280,000 to £295,000. First-time buyers can ask about Help to Buy.

The marketing suite and show home are open from 10.00am to 5.00pm, Thursday to Monday. Find out more at [email protected].
