Seal of Approval at Bellway’s New Cardington Development

A self-employed builder from Bedfordshire has given the quality of construction at a new homes development his ultimate seal of approval – by deciding to buy a home for him and his family there.

Quality and affordability were two key boxes that Andrew Venamore and wife Sophie were able to tick when they chose a new three-bedroom house at Bellway’s New Cardington development near Bedford.

The couple, who previously owned a two-bedroom property in Sandy, moved into their new home in May this year with their three children Mason, 14, Callum, 12, and Imogen, 4.

Bellway has a strong track record for quality construction and is rated a five-star builder by the Home Builders Federation (HBF). Nine out of ten Bellway customers would recommend the housebuilder to a friend.

Sophie, 39, says: “We wanted somewhere bigger to live and came across the new site while it was being built. We had struggled to find a property that fitted our criteria in Sandy. It’s our first new build home and we are both very impressed.

“We really liked the layout of the home and all rooms are very sizeable including the open-plan kitchen and bedrooms. We also love the style of the development, and the staff have been brilliant – they really couldn’t have been better. I would recommend buying with Bellway, and I’ve even tried to convince my friend to join us at the development and buy a home here too!”

Sophie and Andrew, 36, are originally from Hertfordshire and made the move to Bedfordshire for its affordability, convenience and charm.

They began looking at new build homes in the area towards the end of last year, having decided it was time to upgrade their old place in Sandy to a new higher-quality home which would be able to provide more space.

The location of their new home is even more convenient for them, with the centre of Bedford now just a ten-minute drive away.

Sophie is a 20-minute drive from Biggleswade, where she works as a Learning Support Assistant, while commuter links into London, where Andrew often works, are also good.

All homes at the New Cardington development are now reserved, but new three-, four- and five-bedroom houses are now available to reserve at Bellway’s neighbouring Eastcotts Green development, which has just launched.
